Gunn Johansson
Work-related stress and the new organizational realities.

Gunn Johansson is professor of Work and Organisational Psychology at Stockholm University where she performs research and teaches on work, stress, and health. Formerly, this research dealt with such aspects of industrial work as repetitive and uneventful monotony. In recent times the meaning and value of work in the post-industrial era has been the object of study, and so has health aspects of downsizing and early retirement. Current research concerns psychological aspects of the changing character of work. This has to do with the flexibilization of working life (e.g., technology facilitating work at any time and in any place; new and looser connections between employees and employers). Next is a study of burnout phenomena in IT-related service and manufacturing work.
