Main research interests
Areas of interest include sensory processes in audition, olfaction and the skin senses, especially with regard to combined or complex stimulations as well as time pattern and duration of stimulations. The aim is to develop new psychophysical methods as well as mathematical models to be used with regard to physical environmental problems such as community noise, odorous air pollution, and indoor air quality. The research addresses e.g. adverse sensory reactions, human comfort and health as well as the search for early signs of dysfunction due to potential hazards.
