Current main duties are within the clinical child lectureship and involve teaching, supervision and research. In maj-12 I will have finished a graduate course in psychotherapy. I have grown-up in Italy and England and hold a nursing degree from England (1984). Since my licensure as a psychologist in 2003, I have worked with clients on a continuous basis within the psychiatric clinic at the department, in primary care, and private practice.
I currently teach on several courses at the Department of Psychology. On the Psychology program, teaching within courses on psychotherapy, diagnostic assessment, screening, applied relaxation and examinations on these. Also lectures on learning theory, cognitive theory and abnormal psychology within the PAO-program. Supervision of groups of students in interviewing-methods and technique, (PII), and on the psychology program.
Outside of the department courses for psychologists, clinicians and medical students on child psychiatry and diagnosis, CBT treatment and presentation of research projects for child psychiatric services and international conferences. Supervision of essays on clinical child psychology within the psychology program and psychotherapy program.

My thesis is called: Fears, anxieties and cognitive-behavioral treatment of specific phobias in youth.
The thesis treats anxiety disorders in children and adolescents and more specifically specific phobias. The overall aim was to contribute to our understanding of childhood fears, anxiety and phobias and to evaluate the efficacy and portability (Sweden to US) of a one-session treatment of specific phobias in youth. Other questions explored parent-child agreement on a diagnostic screening instrument for youths and, further, parenting behaviors (e.g., over-protection) and it's relation to anxiety problems in children.
Current research is conducted in a Child-internet project (BIP), within child psychiatric services in Stockholm's county, in collaboration with many researchers and external funding www.bup.se/bip. My specific research interest is on diagnostics and assessment coupled to children and their parents seeking psychological treatment via internet.
Collaborators: a close collaboration continues with Professor Thomas Ollendick, Department of Psychology, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, on data from the large study on children and adolescents with specific phobias from Sweden and the US.
